Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

What does a failing pressure tank feel like at the tap?

Pressure that surges and drops while you're using water, and a pump you can hear starting far too often. A healthy tank holds a cushion of air so the pump runs in longer, less frequent cycles. Once that cushion is gone the pump takes the punishment.

How often should a well system be checked?

An annual look at the pressure switch, the tank charge and the wiring catches most of what goes wrong before the pump does. Wells that serve irrigation as well as the house work harder and deserve more attention. Water quality testing is separate and usually goes through a lab.

My well water suddenly smells like sulphur. Is that a plumbing problem?

Sometimes it's the water heater's anode reacting with the water, in which case it's isolated to the hot side. If the cold water smells too, the source is the well and questions go to a water quality lab. Which taps are affected tells you which of the two it is.

Can I run a new line to a shop or a stock tank off the house supply?

It can be done, but the existing service has to carry the extra demand and the branch needs its own shutoff and freeze protection. Adding load to a marginal well is the common mistake. A pro checks flow and pressure before anything gets trenched. A branch out to a shop is common on the acreage between here and Meridian.
